What is Spread Betting?

A financial spread bet allows investors to bet on the value of a financial instrument rising or falling. Much like CFDs if you expect the price to rise in value you Buy the spread or go Long and if you expect the price to fall in value you Sell the spread or go Short. The amount of profit or loss you make is determined by the amount you bet and the change in price.
